Security Engineer

Job Description

Join Intezer as a Security Engineer and take ownership of security across our cloud infrastructure, production systems, and development pipelines. You’ll lead our security monitoring, incident response, and compliance work (including SOC 2), and translate it into real controls embedded in Linux systems, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code across AWS and Azure. This is a hands-on role for someone who thinks security-first but is comfortable working directly in cloud and infrastructure to put their decisions into practice.

Responsibilities

  • Own security monitoring, incident response, and post-mortem analysis across our internal environment.
  • Run security requirements, risk assessments, vulnerability management, and compliance audits (SOC 2 and other frameworks) through to certification.
  • Collect security and security-related data into the SIEM and own detection rules.
  • Manage relationships with third-party pentest and audit partners, and feed their findings back into the development lifecycle.
  • Design and enforce secure cloud architecture and best practices across infrastructure and applications.
  • Harden and secure Linux production systems, Kubernetes clusters, container images, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Automate security controls and workflows using Python, Bash, APIs, and SOAR tools.
  • Tune and operate cloud security posture tooling (e.g. Wiz, Upwind) and turn findings into action.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in Security Engineering, SecOps, DevSecOps, or a similar role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SIEM, security monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management.
  • Experience with SOC 2 (or similar) compliance audits and managing penetration tests.
  • Solid grounding in security principles, threat modeling, and risk management.
  • Real cloud and Linux experience — you’ve worked hands-on in AWS and/or Azure, not just reviewed it from the outside.
  • Working knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions), and IaC (Terraform/OpenTofu, Terragrunt, Ansible).
  • Automation experience with Python, Bash, APIs, and workflow/SOAR tools.
  • Independent, proactive, and strong problem-solving mindset.
